Thank you for being an 8base customer. We appreciate the trust that you have shown in us. We aim to deliver superb service and product functionality.
To assist you, you must provide us with confidential (and perhaps trade secret) information regarding your products or services.
Toward that end, this policy explains how we will use such information and protect it from dissemination.
At 8base, we value the privacy of the information that you provide us and our AI Solution Architect, “8base Archie.” For simplicity, references hereinafter to 8base and 8base Archie shall collectively be referred to as “8base Archie.”
Information Collection and Use
8base Archie is dedicated to maintaining the confidentiality of your innovative ideas and personal information that will likely include the following:
At 8base Archie, we collect this information to facilitate, customize and enhance your experience and to enable your use of our products and services. We will not use or disclose any information that we obtain from you for any other purposes unless required by law (i.e., subpoena, court order, search warrant, etc.).
Protection of User Ideas
At 8base Archie, we know that your ideas and business concepts are confidential. Therefore, we will only share your confidential information even with our service providers (i.e., employees, consultants, contractors) on a need-to-know basis. And, we also require that our consultants, employees and contractors maintain the confidentiality of your information in written agreements that we have with them. Out of necessity, we must share your ideas with providers of generative AI, who take your ideas and help us turn them into application blueprints, functional specs, technical specs, and other artifacts. Our agreements with generative AI providers, however, require that they too maintain the confidentiality of your ideas in their hands.

Security of Data
At 8base Archie, we know it is crucially important that your confidential information remain secure. While we use commercially acceptable means to protect it, no information that we store and transmit for you by electronic means can ever be 100% secure, as is the case with every company, no matter how big or small. Yet, we only allow use of your confidential information to those of our employees, consultants and contractors on a need to know basis, and they may only access our systems through the use of specific user names and passwords. We also take steps to protect our systems (which are hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS)) through industry standard measures. Therefore, a breach of our systems would likely require a breach of the AWS systems, as well, which is unlikely to occur while not impossible.
European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to which we adhere.
As such, we allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your confidential information. And, if you wish to be informed about your confidential information (i.e., such as what we hold), please contact us.

Information Sharing
At 8base Archie, we will not sell, trade, or rent your confidential information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information (i.e., not linked to any personal identification information] regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, employees, contractors, consultants and advertisers.
If we are requested to disclose your confidential information under a subpoena, court order, search warrant or other such means, we will provide you with as much notice as is possible so that you may object to such disclosure if you so choose.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
On occasion, we contract with third party service providers to ensure that they keep confidential and secure what we keep confidential and secure.
